Going for the Gold in Long Beach With Powerhouse Fitness, a U.S. Olympian, and LB Food Review
This Wednesday night at 9pm, on Swoop’s World Radio, we have Jack Nunn, owner of Powerhouse Fitness, his dad, U.S. Olympian John Nunn and the guys from LB Food Review.
Jack Nunn started rowing in 1996 for Long Beach Juniors and made the 1997 U.S. Junior National Team Selection Camp. He attended UC Berkeley, winning four Pac-10 Championships and three National Championships in rowing. He was a member of the first ever undefeated Pac-10 and National Champion Freshman 8 in 1998 and repeated the feat by going unbeaten in 1999. Jack also played two seasons with the Cal Ice Hockey Team before graduating in 2001.
Jack was a member of the U.S. National Rowing Team that won a silver medal at the 2001 World Championships in Austria, a silver at US National Championships in 2002 and silver in the Pan Am Trials in 2003. He has been teaching group exercise classes for 5 years.
U.S. Olympian John Nunn is a very accomplished athlete and rower in his own right. John earned a Bronze medal in the double sculls event at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
