First we are happy to have musician, author, Healer and Troubadour Almadeus Star Gioeli as our guest on Swoop’s World Late Night. After Star, Tanya Quinn joins us to tell us about a great event that she, Sasha Kanno, and Aliye Aydin are involved in called Commune | Love | Prosper Local Harvest Dinner and Potluck. Then we’ll be taking on all topics, and of course our regular Brewskis, sports, and any other news of the day segments. Tune in at Swoopsworld.com.
Almadeus Star Gioeli
I am a living descendent of the mythological and historic Gods of Sicily. My friends call me “Star”. That works for me.
My life is as an Artist, Healer and Troubadour…a wandering singer of songs of love, truth, peace and freedom. In my wanderings I hope to find other’s, like myself, who would love to live in a Sacred society in a Sacred land in a Sacred way. While “growing up” in this world I manifested many works of art, literature and science with the intention to redirect, fix or change the infrastructure of the secular world. I have since abandoned that idea and rather choose to prayerfully and compassionately let the mundane world go along its present path to oblivion while we, the living, create a totally new vision for the seeds of a new and Sacred world. I carry this vision in and around me as I go….and as i sing…and as I live and as I breathe.
Local Harvest Dinner and Potluck
On September 25, 2011 T’sSpace in collaboration with Farm Lot 59 and Beach Greens are hosting a Local Community Harvest Dinner at 2nd City Council Art Gallery. This event is designed to celebrate the nourishing organic, local food that farmers, gardeners, chefs and distributors bring to our tables and offer an opportunity to educate and empower our community on the importance of eating and supporting healthy, organic and locally harvested food and products. We hope to provide an opportunity for you to connect with the greater community and with one another in a casual, intimate setting.
We invite you as a Long Beach resident, local organic farmer, community gardener, chef or food provider to join our table. We are inviting the community at large to do the same. We want this event to be an experience where people leave feeling empowered to make sustainable choices in their life, form personal relationships with the people who are growing and distributing food here in Long Beach, eat healthy nourishing food and connect to our community. Feel free to bring materials about your farm, garden or services.
We will be highlighting participants that provide sustainable food to our tables. If you are interested in speaking please let us know. Depending on the number of participants we will at the very least make introductions.
