On Wednesday April 4, 2012 at 8pm/PST (11pm/EST) we are happy to welcome the band Fireside with Phil and Tony calling in to Swoop’s World Late Night from Fairborn, Ohio. Tune in as we get to know this very cool acoustic duo and their music. After our interview with Fireside with Phil and Tony, last weeks guest, comedian Sina Amedson returns to sit in and guest co-host with the gang. If you thought last week was crazy fun, strap in and enjoy another fun ride. Of course we’ll have our Brewskis beer tasting segment, T-Bones Timeout, and our take on all topics, as well as any interesting news of the day. Fireside with Phil and Tony is an awesome acoustic project to go see. Loud enough to party to and at the same time you can still chat with your friends at the table. They are a MUST SEE!!! You WON’T be disappointed. Phil and Tony have been together in other ‘full’ bands, and decided to form an acoustic project in November of 2008. Origanally the idea was a side project. By January of 2009, the project was their main focus. New songs are constantly added to keep their set list fresh. To date, no 2 shows have been exactly the same … On October 10th. 2011, they released their first Cd/Ep “Shoot the Moon”. All the songs on the CD are as you would hear them live.

Phil Boyer – Vocals
Phil received a drum set at age 5 from his father. Once he ‘destroyed’ the set playing to KISS’ Destroyer album, he moved on to singing. He sang in choir around age 10. Phil enjoys playing both original and cover music. His influences are Robert Plant, Andrew Wood, and Axl Rose.

Tony Hubbard -Guitar
Tony got his first guitar around age 8 from his grandfather.He played off and on until the early 90’s. He has switched to primarily acoustic with Fireside. His influences are Angus Young, Jimmy Page, and Jerry Cantrell.
