We recently had the opportunity and pleasure of seeing Sister Speak perform an outstanding set on a nice summer day at Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. Sister Speak

Sister Speak began as a collaboration to share the woman’s voice through music in a soulful, authentic way. Sister Speak has performed over 400 shows, including appearances at NAMM, on Canada’s global TV, at various festivals, and all over the USA and western Canada. They have recently made San Diego their home, and were nominated ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards. They were also named one of Music Connection Magazine’s “Hot 100 Unsigned Bands” for 2011.

While currently led mainly by singer/songwriter Sherri-Anne & percussionist Lisa Viegas, Sister Speak has worked with and continues to collaborate with wonderful local talent. -To name a few: San Diego’s Tolan Shaw, Swift Pony, bassists Stephen Gentallalli & Dan Dipietro, and of course the ever-so-talented Samantha Cathcart.

Sister Speak’s powerful presence is inspiring and refreshing, combining mesmerizing vocals and soul-reaching lyrics with elements of ‘Acoustic-Rock, Blues & World.’ In addition to Sister Speak’s 2 live CD’s, a new album is in the works!
