Maurice L. Landrum

Maurice L. Landrum began his law enforcement career in May 1983, where he served as Police Officer, Detective, and Sergeant for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Maurice distinguished himself during his law enforcement career in October 2004; when he retired honorably from LAPD after being hired by the San Bernardino County District Attorney Office-Bureau of Investigation, where he served as the First African American Supervising District Attorney Investigator in the Bureau’s history.

On December 24, 2016, Maurice honorably retired after a total of 34 years in law enforcement. During his law enforcement career, Maurice worked a variety of patrol, detective, supervisory and administrative assignments.

Maurice attended Southern Illinois University-at Carbondale and graduated from the University of Phoenix: Criminal Justice & Security Degree Program. He’s an accomplished author, who recently published his memoirs about his experience as a Los Angeles Police Officer during the early eighties.
